Istat Puglia SPOT (Sistema Puglia per l'Osservatorio Turistico) is the official Regione Puglia solution that enables accommodation providers to comply with mandatory ISTAT tourism reporting by transmitting daily tourist flows (arrivals and departures) after registering their property in the regional DMS Puglia portal. It is designed for both hotel and non-hotel accommodations operating in Puglia and acts as the only accepted channel for submitting these statistics to the regional server.

SPOT is available in two modes: SPOT Online, a web-based workflow that supports manual entry or uploading an XML file generated by a property management system (PMS); and SPOT Completo, a lightweight desktop “mini-PMS” (Java-based) for properties without a management system, allowing local management of arrivals/departures and telematic transmission in anonymized form. SPOT Completo also helps streamline public security obligations by generating a file for submission to Italy’s Alloggiati Web portal.

For PMS integrations, SPOT Online’s XML upload and published XSD schemas provide a structured path to generate compliant movement files (e.g., “Movimento Giornaliero”) and reduce manual work, improving reporting accuracy and timeliness while keeping the process aligned with regional and national statistical requirements.
